LUKE 19:45-48 MATTHEW 21:12-17
On this second day of Holy Week, our attention turns to the temple of Jerusalem. Remember, the city is over-flowing with people who have traveled far and wide for the annual Passover celebration and the Feast of the Unleavened Bread. The celebrations will last all week long.
The scriptures for today describe what Jesus encountered when he entered the temple that day as well as his reactions.
Here are some thoughts to ponder as you are reading today:
Do Christians today still revere the house of the Lord (church) as a house of prayer and worship? As God’s House? How can we keep the reverence within the walls of God’s house?
If Jesus entered your home or place of employment, would He find you being fair and honest to others? Would He see his own image through you or would Jesus see the greed of the world in you?
