Have you ever heard someone say “I’m not feeling very grateful today”? I think we’ve all felt that way at one time or another.
Our attitudes of gratitude should not be dictated by our moods or circumstances. We need to periodically check our attitudes. It is easy to fall prey to Satan and be consumed with the grumpy, gloomy world around us. We need to be armed against emotional warfare with joy, praise and thankfulness that comes from walking with Jesus.
There is something to be thankful for in every situation of every day. Look for the joy in every thing. Even if Satan puts evil in our paths, we can be thankful that God is there to call on and pull us through.
When we obey God’s commands to rejoice, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything, we begin to view circumstances and other people with a new perspective: an attitude of gratitude!
Life is better with Jesus!
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”-
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
